Lessons and all communications will be sent to the candidates to the approved study centre. Any change in the address should be intimated to the PRIDE and the Study Centre immediately with enrollment number with a fee of Rs. 50/- by the way of Demand Draft. The Candidates are advised to make necessary arrangement in the post-office for letters redirected to their new address, until the change is effected.

Students who wish to have their names changed in the records of the PRIDE at the time of admission or during the course of study must apply for the same with original Gazette notification. A demand Draft for Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of “The Director, PRIDE, Periyar University” payable at Salem towards the fee prescribed for effecting the change enclose along with the application.

The fact will be intimated to the student concerned only on his / her specific request.

The University Examinations will be held after the end of each semester / year namely in the months of December and June respectively.
Application forms for examination will be sent in the month of October and April by the Controller of Examinations, Periyar University to all the Students through their study centres who have no arrears of the fee. Information regarding Centres of Examination, time table, fees payable and other regulations governing the examinations will be sent to the students along with the Examination application form.
Students with short of attendance either in the Theory or in the practical are not eligible to sit for the examination. In spite of their warning a student failing to fulfill the attendance requirements gets himself / herself for the examination and writes the examinations his / her results will be cancelled.


The Hall Tickets will not be sent to the candidates by post. Hall Tickets will be issued at the Examination Centres three days prior to the commencement of the Examinations.

The intimation of venue of examination with the Examination Registration number will be sent to the Pride Study Centres one week prior to the commencement of examinations. The students are requested to collect necessary informations from study Centres.
Further, a student who has applied in time and not received any hall ticket at the examination centre is required to contact the PRIDE /study Centres with Xerox copy of his / her examination application form, the demand draft for examination fees and acknowledgement etc., so as to enable the Chief Superintendent of Examinations to allow him / her to write the examination provisionally subject to the confirmation by the controller of Examinations. Demand Draft for the Examination fees should be taken in favour of “The Register, Periyar University” payable at Salem.

The Examination results will be available to the students in the respective Study Centres in which they are admitted.

Students are advised to collect their statement marks from the PRIDE Study Centres in which they are admitted.


A student can apply for revaluation for any number of subjects. The student should submit the revaluation application in the format available in the study centres to the “Controller of Examinations” , Periyar University, Salem – 636 011 within 10 days from the date of publication of results. Along with the revaluation application, the student should pay an amount of Rs. 250/- per paper in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “The registrar”, Periyar University, payable at Salem. PG students (2006-2007 onwards) are not eligible to apply for Revaluation / Retotaling / Transparency.

Note: Revaluation facility is available only for UG Courses.

A Student can apply for retotalling for any number of subjects. The Student should submit the retotalling application in the format available in the study centres to the “Controller of Examinations” , Periyar University, Salem – 636 011 within 10 days from the date of publication of Results. Along with the revaluation application, the student should pay an amount of Rs. 200/- per paper in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “The registrar”, Periyar University, payable at Salem.

Note: Retotalling facility is available only for UG Courses.

The Students appearing for the Final Year / semester examination are to compulsorily pay the Provisional / Convocation fee Rs. 550/- along with examination fee.

Provisional Certificate and Degree Certificate will be issued to those who have qualified for the degree, and paid the required fee, after the publication of results. The students have to apply in the standard provisional / convocation application form along with copies of all mark statements. A prescribed form for obtaining Provisional Certificate and Degree Certificate is also available with the PRIDE and Study Centres.


Degree Certificate will be issued to the candidates only if they apply for the same in the provisional / Convocation form with the fee prescribed from time to time by the authorities. The filled in application should reach the PRIDE before the due date prescribed. Applications received thereafter will be considered only for the subsequent convocation. The Degree / Diploma will be conferred only in absentia. It will be sent to the PRIDE Study Centres within two months from the date of the Convocation. Regarding the conduct of Convocation / non receipt of Degree / Diploma , he / she is requested to contact the controller of Examinations, Periyar University, Salem.

Transfer certificate will be issued to the students after completion of their course if they surrender their original TC with them.
A Candidate whose Transfer Certificate issued by the PRIDE is lost, can obtain a duplicate Transfer Certificate as per rules by sending a requisition letter to the Director along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- and a certificate from a Police Officer stating that the Original certificate has been lost irrecoverably based on the F.I.R.

• Payment of First due should be paid to Periyar University before the last date announced by PRIDE.
• The Students should pay their IInd, IVth & VIth installments before 10th March of every year.
• IIIrd, Vth installment should be paid before 10th September of Every Year.
• After the last Date mentioned above a fine of Rs. 10 per day will be levied maximum fine amount of Rs. 250 will be levied.
• There will not be any separate communication from PRIDE regarding the payment of fees. So Students must pay the due on or before the last date mentioned above.
• The course fees has to be paid even if the candidate has taken up the examinations for the previous year or not and whether results are declared or not.
